HOTALICH FORTRESS (Nadezhda Boteva – nadejda_boteva@abv.bg) Four churches of the 12th – 14th centuries are discovered so far on the site. An Early Byzantine stratum was documented to the north of Church No. 3 and six graves of the second half of the 13th century were excavated. A girl, 5 – 8 years old, was buried in Grave No. 44. A necklace of several thousand glass beads in different colors and sizes was discovered on her chest. There were nine bracelets on her arms: five glass bracelets and four bronze.
