Summary (English)
This season work was carried out on two tombs cut into the tufa bedrock. Tomb 50 was formed by two underground chambers preceded by a stepped dromos; the lateral chamber (B), found intact, was excavated in 2014, chamber A, on the same axis, was investigated this year. It presented an irregular rectangular plan, with a recess in the back wall, in correspondence with a shelf for the deposition of objects and/or the deposition of a cremation. The ceiling was formed by a depressed vault and an internal walkway on the same axis as the entrance was flanked by a bench divided into four parallel loculi separated by cordons. The lower part of the closure was still in situ, while the blocks from the upper part lay inside the chamber. The presence of modern materials and cattle bones showed the structure had been disturbed. Among the few ancient finds were the base with a small foot of a plain depurated ware unguentarium and the body of a second unguentarium with painted linear decoration.
Tomb 51 was a small underground chamber with a single deposition, preceded by a stepped dromos, with a niche in the right wall. The chamber had an irregular rectangular plan with a depressed vault ceiling. A longitudinal bench for the deposition flanked a short walkway, on the same axis as the entrance. A small two-handled black glaze jar and a small plain depurated ware jar were found in primary deposition.
