Summary (English)
ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPLORATIONS IN PLISKA (Stanislav Ivanov –stanislavivanovarh@gmail.com) The explorations of buildings Nos. 2 and 3, consisting of parallel rooms arranged in a line, continued. One of the cross walls oriented north – south, which separated the twin rooms, was discovered in building No. 2. The floor in the rooms was paved with flagstones and bricks. Traces of fire were documented. The building continued to the west and its length is over 60 m. Walls of the twin rooms and burned wooden beams of the construction of the building were discovered. About 23 rooms have been documented so far. A pot and two axes were found. Debris, walls and pavement of bricks were discovered in building No. 3. Two Christian graves situated on top of each other were explored. The burials belonged to the two stages of the necropolis at the Palatial Church. Grave No. 7 belonged to an adult laid in a burial pit. Grave No. 8 belonging to a child is situated below. The child was laid in a burial chamber covered with bricks and stone slabs.
