Summary (English)
ST. CYRICUS ISLAND (Krastina Panaiotova – kpanayotova@abv.bg, Margarit Damyanov, Teodora Bogdanova) In the Eastern Sector, to the southeast of the Late Antique basilica, architectural details, fragments from building ceramics of the pre-Roman period and the Late Antiquity, fragments from window glass, coins and a lead seal were discovered in the upper disturbed layers. Part of a wall built of ashlars of the Classical period was discovered and a fragment from reused architectural detail with a votive inscription that reads: ΘΕΟ ΕΥΤΥΧH, was found. In the Central Sector, the dug out structure situated to the southwest of the Archaic temple and altar was completely explored. The finds included fragmentary burned plaster, animal bones, shells, pieces of charcoal, sherds, including from amphorae, of the 6th – first decades of the 5th centuries BC, the latest material being dated to c. 480 BC.
