Given the need to dedicate more time to the excavation of the cemetery areas, or at least the sectors most at risk, outside the Porta Boiano and Porta Benevento at Saepinum, it was decided not to excavate at Terravecchia this season.

Therefore, there was no continuous campaign of excavations at Terravecchia this season. Limited and circumscribed interventions were made to check and integrate the survey data, where work had taken place in 2014: inside and outside the church of S. Martino, situated on the extreme edge of the rise to the west, a short distance away inside the Acropolis Gate, and on the opposite side, along the south front of the medieval town wall. Here, in 2014, a long section of wall and an imposing tower with a complex plan, circular on the side facing the countryside and polygonal on the inner side, were uncovered.

Work on documenting and recording the structures of the San Martino complex was completed, the aim being to create a 3D textured model at a scale of 1:1. This process of virtual reconstruction will also provide a tool to be used in the correct re-composition and placing in situ of the original architectural and structural components found during the excavations.

The second intervention on the south front of the medieval curtain wall updated and completed the aerial and ground photogrammetric survey of this part of the excavations and surrounding environment, again making use of GPS and UAV equipment.
