ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPLORATIONS NEAR GURKOVO (Maria Kamisheva – maria.ivanowa@gmail.com) A semicircular wall was discovered, 0.90 – 1.08 m wide and built of roughly-cut stones and boulders bonded with mortar. Its inner side was built of bricks bonded with mortar. The floor of the room was paved with bricks and three steps were discovered. A water-conduit of terracotta pipes was explored. The room accommodated a pool in one of the conchs of thermae. Judging from the coins of Licinius I minted in AD 312 and Constantine the Great minted in AD 317 – 320 and the pottery, the thermae dated to the 4th – 5th centuries AD.
