    • SRATIGRAPHIC OBSERVATIONS IN THE TEMNATA CAVE (Nikolai Sirakov – nikolaysirakov@gmail.com, Jean-Luc Guadelli, Catherine Ferrier) The stratigraphic and sedimentological explorations aimed at carrying out an analysis of the micro-morphology of the layers that was omitted in the past. The explorations were carried out on the part of the western and northern profiles of sondage TD–I. The layers 4 – 10b–11 (from the beginning of the Upper Paleolithic period to the beginning of the Mousterian sequence) were observed in the profiles. A combination of cryo-disturbance and presumable activity of small streamlets running from the interior to the entrance of the cave caused the deformation in layer 4, covering also the area with the hearths. There are several levels and seams in the lower layer 6, containing the latest assemblages from the Middle Paleolithic period. Their deformation is caused by almost the same factors.
