- The excavation at Collepardo at the foot of the Ernici Mountains led to the recovery of Mesolithic artefacts from the late Epigravatian. These comprised numerous microliths and scrapers, backs, croppings and blades found in the upper levels of brown soils. The fauna, of which thirteen species were noted, was of particular interest for the chronology and paleo-alpine environment and included ibex, chamois, marmot and ermine. (MiBAC)
