Excavations at Sutri have revealed a paved street and a hydraulic infrastructure formed by a drainage layer composed of fragmentary amphorae, and of a monumental street drain built in blocks of tufa. The discoveries, extemely fragmentary, do not permit an overall vision of a site, which is located on private property in a densely urbanized area where archaeological remains have already been heavily compromised. Even if the excavation has been limited, the Soprtintendenze per I Beni Archeologici of Southern Etruria has recovered and safe-guarded these remains, further evidence of the Roman occupation of Sutri.
