Nel lotto 1 è stata individuata una necropoli, per ora costituita da tre sepolture, caratterizzate da grotticelle artificiali con pozzo d’accesso. In due casi sono sepolture singole con l’inumato in posizione rannicchiata. La terza tomba (tomba 10) ha una struttura molto articolata, costituita da un pozzo d’accesso di oltre due metri di diametro e tre di profondità. Da esso si accede a tre celle, a diverse quote di profondità, per un totale di circa sei defunti: verso N, la prima cella con una deposizione, verso E (la più antica), con due deposizioni e verso SW , con tre deposizioni accertate. Dai riempimenti dei pozzi sono stati recuperate olle biansate con una decorazione su due file ad unghiate e tazze, completamente ricostruibili. I corredi, posti nelle celle accanto ai defunti sono composti da brocche, orcioletti, tazze, vasi gemini, fiasche, pugnali e punte di frecce in selce.
Ad età romana, appartiene un articolato sistema di canalizzazione, afferente al corso dell’antico Clanis; assieme è stata rintracciata la parte produttiva di una villa rustica la cui prima fase costruttiva di età repubblicana è attestata tra l’altro dalle grandi quantità di frammenti di cocciopesto pavimentali. In prossimità della villa, erano nove sepolture databili al IV sec. d.C. e tre pozzi di VI-VIII sec. d.C., che raggiungono i 4 m di profondità e che hanno restituito macine intere, resti faunistici, brocche e olle integre databili al VII d.C.

A necropolis came to light in Lot 1 of which three burials have been identified to date. These are _grotticella_ tombs with an access well. In two cases the burials were single, the deceased in a fetal position. The third tomb (tomb 10) had a well defined structure comprising an access well over two metres wide and three metres deep. This led to three cells, at different depths, holding six skeletons. To the north the first cell contained one burial, to the east, the earliest cell contained two burials, in the cell to the south-west three burials have been identified to date. The fill of the wells produced fragmented but complete two-handled jars with two rows of nail-made decoration and cups. The tomb groups, placed in the cells beside the bodies comprised jugs, small pitchers, cups, double vases, flasks, flint daggers and arrow heads.
An articulated channel system relating to the ancient course of the river Clanis dating to the Roman period was uncovered together with the production sector of a villa rustica whose first construction phase dated to the Republican period. Amongst other things evidence was provided by large quantities of _opus signinum_ paving. Close to the villa there were nine burials datable to the 4th century A.D. and three wells of the 6th-8th century A.D. The wells reached a depth of 4 m and produced intact grindstones, faunal remains and whole jugs and jars datable to the 7th century A.D.
